Valentin Gudumac s-a născut la 4 mai anul 1941, în comuna Parcova, raionul Edineţ într-o familie de oameni oneşti şi harnici. În timpul studiilor şcolare s-a afirmat prin muncă asiduă şi prin dragoste de carte, absolvind cu menţiune şcoala medie din Parcova în a.1958. Apoi a urmat studiile universitare la Institutul de Stat de Medicină din Chişinău (în prezent Universitatea de Stat de Medicină şi Farmacie “Nicolae Testemiţanu” din Republica Moldova) în a. 1958-1964, absolvind cu diplomă de merit facultatea Medicină Generală. Anii de studii universitare au înscris o pagină deosebită în biografia dlui Valentin Gudumac. „După pâine, cel mai important lucru este şcoala” – afirma Danton. Valentin Gudumac a urmat de-a lungul întregii vieţi, cu inima şi cu cugetul acest concept dantonian. Anume atunci a fost pusă temelia viitorului succes şi a capacităţii de afirmare, viaţa studenţească contribuind cu prisosinţă la acumularea şi diversificarea cunoştinţelor necesare pentru a începe o carieră profesională. Apoi îşi continuă studiile în doctorantura fără frecvenţă, la catedra Biochimie a aceleiaşi instituţii şi în anul 1969 susţine teza de doctor în medicină la tema: „Unii indici ai proceselor de oxidare şi reducere la acţiunea hexaclorbutadienei asupra organismului”, lucrare consacrată mecanismelor biochimice, distructiv-oxidative ale acţiunii radicalilor liberi şi rolului protectiv al substanţelor antioxidante în combaterea efectelor nocive ale acestora. Urmează să activeze în calitate de asistent universitar la catedra Biochimie, apoi lector superior, conferenţiar şi profesor universitar, şef catedră Diagnostic de Laborator Clinic, Facultatea de Educaţie Continuă în Medicină şi Farmacie. Din anul 1989 activează prin cumul în funcţie de şef al Laboratorului Central de Cercetări Ştiinţifice, mai apoi şef Laborator Biochimie, Universitatea de Stat de Medicină şi Farmacie „Nicolae Testemiţanu”. În anii 1970, 1972, 1977, 1980, 1985 şi 1991 îşi face stagiul didactico-ştiinţific în or. Moscova la Instututul de Medicină „I. Secenov” şi Institutul Central de Perfecţionare a Medicilor. În anul 1994 susţine teza de doctor habilitat în ştiinţe medicale: „Aspectele biochimice ale acţiunii biopreparatelor din microalge asupra organismului în normă şi patologie experimentală”. În activitatea sa de cercetare este interesat de mecanismele de acţiune a substanţelor bioactive, extrase din microalge, asupra proceselor metabolice din organism, de valenţele lor terapeutice şi perspectivele de valorificare a acestor substanţe în profilaxia şi, eventual, terapia afecţiunilor hepatice, cardio-vasculare şi patologia ţesutului osos. Este specialistul principal netitular în medicina de laborator al Ministerului Sănătăţii din Republica Moldova, vice-preşedinte al Comisiei Republicane de Atestare a Medicilor de Laborator, secretar al Comisiei de experţi al Consiliului Naţional de Acreditare şi Atestare din Republica Moldova, membru al Consiliilor Ştiinţifice Specializate de susţinere a tezelor de doctorat, membru al Consiliului de redacţie al revistelor „Curierul medical” şi „Клиническая лабораторная диагностика” din Federaţia Rusă. Activitatea de cercetare s-a concretizat în cele peste 350 de lucrări, publicate în reviste de specialitate din ţară şi din străinătate, inclusiv 7 monografii, 15 lucrări didactice; este participant la un şir de congrese internaţionale. Este autorul a 40 de brevete de invenţie şi deţine peste 150 de certificate de inovaţie. Ciclurile de lucrări prezentate de profesorul Valentin Gudumac la Saloanele mondiale de invenţii şi cercetări „Eureka” (Bruxelles, Belgia, 1993-2010), „Inpex” (Pittsburg, SUA, 1995-2008), Iaşi, Cluj-Napoca (1994-2010), Geneva, (1998-2010), Sevastopol, Ucraina (2006-2009) au fost menţionate cu 35 de medalii de aur şi 5 medalii de argint. Activitatea sa este înalt apreciată, atât în plan naţional, cât şi internaţional, prin conferirea titlului onorific de Om Emerit al Republicii Moldova (1996), inventator de elită clasa I, România (1996). Pentru merite incontestabile în creaţia tehnică este decorat cu medalia de aur „Henri Coandă” cl. I, Medalia de Aur a Organizaţiei Internaţionale a Proprietăţii Intelectuale – OMPI (2001), Ordinul „Innovation award” la gradul de cavaler (Bruxelles, Belgia, 2008). În 2005 este decorat cu ordinul „Gloria Muncii”. Perseverenţa, inteligenţa şi dragostea de muncă – anume aceste calităţi îl caracterizează, în primul rând, pe dl profesor Valentin. Gudumac. Victor Hugo afirma: „Spiritul omenesc are trei chei, care deschid totul: ştiinţa, cugetarea, imaginaţia. Valentin Gudumac „ţine la brâu” toate aceste chei de la „lacătul cu secrete” al instruirii. Ca îndrumător al tinerelor talente, a creat o echipă trainic sudată şi în continuă perfecţionare. Şcoala discipolilor profesorului Valentin Gudumac include mai mult de 30 de tineri savanţi. He is the author of 40 patents of invention and holds more than 150 innovation certificates. He creates bioactive substances extracted from “Spirulina platensis”, demonstrating their usefulness in chemoprevention and in the treatment of oncological diseases.
Valentin Gudumac was born on May 4, 1941, in the commune of Parcova, Edineț district, into a family of honest and hardworking people. During his school years, he distinguished himself through diligent work and a love for books, graduating with honors from the secondary school in Parcova in 1958. Then, he pursued university studies at the State Institute of Medicine in Chisinau (currently the „Nicolae Testemițanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova) from 1958 to 1964, graduating with a merit diploma from the Faculty of General Medicine.
The years of university studies inscribed a special page in Mr. Valentin Gudumac’s biography. „After bread, the most important thing is school,” stated Danton. Throughout his entire life, Valentin Gudumac followed this Dantonist concept with his heart and mind. It was precisely then that the foundation for his future success and ability to succeed was laid, with student life contributing abundantly to the accumulation and diversification of the knowledge necessary to begin a professional career.
He then continued his studies in a correspondence doctoral program at the Department of Biochemistry of the same institution, and in 1969, he defended his doctoral thesis in medicine on the topic: „Some indices of oxidation and reduction processes during the action of hexachlorobutadiene on the organism,” a work dedicated to the biochemical, destructive-oxidative mechanisms of free radical action and the protective role of antioxidant substances in combating their harmful effects. He went on to work as a university assistant at the Department of Biochemistry, then as a senior lecturer, associate professor, and university professor, and head of the Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics Department at the Faculty of Continuing Education in Medicine and Pharmacy. Since 1989, he has served concurrently as head of the Central Scientific Research Laboratory, and later as head of the Biochemistry Laboratory at the „Nicolae Testemițanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
In the years 1970, 1972, 1977, 1980, 1985, and 1991, he completed his didactic-scientific internships in Moscow at the „I. Sechenov” Institute of Medicine and the Central Institute for the Advanced Training of Physicians.
In 1994, he defended his habilitation thesis in medical sciences: „Biochemical aspects of the action of biopreparations from microalgae on the organism in normal and experimental pathology.” In his research activity, he is interested in the mechanisms of action of bioactive substances extracted from microalgae on metabolic processes in the organism, their therapeutic valences, and the perspectives for utilizing these substances in the prophylaxis and, eventually, the therapy of hepatic, cardiovascular, and bone tissue pathologies.
He is the non-titular chief specialist in laboratory medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova, vice-president of the Republican Commission for the Attestation of Laboratory Physicians, secretary of the Expert Commission of the National Council for Accreditation and Attestation of the Republic of Moldova, member of the Specialized Scientific Councils for doctoral thesis defense, and member of the editorial board of the journals „Curierul medical” and „Клиническая лабораторная диагностика” (Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics) from the Russian Federation.
His research activity has materialized in over 350 works published in specialized journals in the country and abroad, including 7 monographs and 15 didactic works; he is a participant in a series of international congresses. He is the author of 40 invention patents and holds over 150 innovation certificates.
The cycles of works presented by Professor Valentin Gudumac at the world Salons of inventions and research „Eureka” (Brussels, Belgium, 1993-2010), „Inpex” (Pittsburg, USA, 1995-2008), Iasi, Cluj-Napoca (1994-2010), Geneva (1998-2010), and Sevastopol, Ukraine (2006-2009) were awarded 35 gold medals and 5 silver medals.
His activity is highly appreciated, both nationally and internationally, through the conferring of the honorary title of Emeritus Man of the Republic of Moldova (1996) and Elite Inventor Class I, Romania (1996). For undeniable merits in technical creation, he has been decorated with the „Henri Coanda” Gold Medal Class I, the Gold Medal of the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO (2001), and the „Innovation Award” Order of Knight degree (Brussels, Belgium, 2008). In 2005, he was decorated with the „Gloria Muncii” (Labor Glory) Order.
Perseverance, intelligence, and love for work—these are precisely the qualities that characterize Professor Valentin Gudumac first and foremost. Victor Hugo stated: „The human spirit has three keys, which open everything: science, thought, imagination.” Valentin Gudumac „wears at his belt” all these keys to the „padlock of secrets” of training. As a mentor to young talents, he has created a tightly-knit team that is in continuous improvement. The school of Professor Valentin Gudumac’s disciples includes more than 30 young scientists.

Валентин Гудумак родился 4 мая 1941 года в коммуне Паркова Единецкого района в семье честных и трудолюбивых людей. В школьные годы он проявил себя упорным трудом и любовью к знаниям, окончив среднюю школу в Паркова в 1958 году с отличием. Затем он продолжил обучение в Кишиневском государственном медицинском институте (в настоящее время Государственный университет медицины и фармации им. Николае Тестемицану Республики Молдова) в 1958–1964 годах, окончив факультет общей медицины с дипломом с отличием.
Годы учебы в университете вписали особую страницу в биографию господина Валентина Гудумака. «После хлеба самое важное — это школа», — утверждал Дантон. Всю свою жизнь Валентин Гудумак следовал этой дантоновской концепции сердцем и разумом. Именно тогда был заложен фундамент будущего успеха и способности к самореализации, а студенческая жизнь внесла весомый вклад в накопление и расширение знаний, необходимых для начала профессиональной карьеры.
Затем он продолжил обучение в заочной аспирантуре на кафедре биохимии того же учреждения, и в 1969 году защитил кандидатскую диссертацию на тему: «Некоторые показатели окислительно-восстановительных процессов при действии гексахлорбутадиена на организм» — работа, посвященная биохимическим, деструктивно-окислительным механизмам действия свободных радикалов и защитной роли антиоксидантных веществ в борьбе с их вредным воздействием. Далее он работал ассистентом кафедры биохимии, затем старшим преподавателем, доцентом и профессором, заведующим кафедрой клинической лабораторной диагностики факультета непрерывного образования в медицине и фармации. С 1989 года по совместительству занимает должность заведующего Центральной научно-исследовательской лабораторией, а затем — заведующего биохимической лабораторией Государственного университета медицины и фармации им. Николае Тестемицану.
В 1970, 1972, 1977, 1980, 1985 и 1991 годах проходил учебно-научную стажировку в Москве, в Первом Московском медицинском институте им. И. М. Сеченова и Центральном институте усовершенствования врачей.
В 1994 году защитил докторскую диссертацию (доктор хабилитат) по медицине на тему: «Биохимические аспекты действия биопрепаратов из микроводорослей на организм в норме и при экспериментальной патологии». В своей исследовательской деятельности он интересуется механизмами действия биологически активных веществ, извлеченных из микроводорослей, на метаболические процессы в организме, их терапевтическими свойствами и перспективами использования этих веществ в профилактике и, возможно, терапии заболеваний печени, сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний и патологий костной ткани.
Является внештатным главным специалистом по лабораторной медицине Министерства здравоохранения Республики Молдова, заместителем председателя Республиканской аттестационной комиссии лабораторных врачей, секретарем экспертной комиссии Национального агентства по обеспечению качества в образовании и исследованиях (бывший НАА), членом специализированных научных советов по защите диссертаций, членом редакционного совета журналов «Curierul medical» и «Клиническая лабораторная диагностика» (Российская Федерация).
Научная деятельность воплотилась в более чем 350 работах, опубликованных в специализированных журналах в стране и за рубежом, включая 7 монографий и 15 учебных пособий; он является участником ряда международных конгрессов. Является автором 40 патентов на изобретения и обладателем более 150 сертификатов на рационализаторские предложения.
