Profesorul BEȚIȘOR este autor a 12 brevete de invenţie şi a peste 100 de inovaţii în ortopedie şi traumatology. Autorul lucrării Lamboul lateral brahial în tratamentul traumatismelor aparatului locomotor. A fost preocupat de cercetări ştiinţifice privind consecinţele arsurilor mâinii, politraumatismele aparatului locomotor, osteosinteza funcţional stabilă şi endoprotezarea articulaţiilor mari.
Vitalie Beţişor s-a născut la 24 iulie 1937 în satul Cuhneşti, raionul Glodeni, într-o familie de intelectuali. În 1963 a absolvit Institutul de Stat de Medicină din Chişinău, după care face stagiul prin subordinatură la specialitatea Traumatologie și ortopedie. Ulterior, este repartizat pentru desfășurarea activității profesionale la Spitalul pentru invalizi din Saharna, iar peste puțin timp la cel din Leova în calitate de chirurg-traumatolog.
Începând cu anul 1965 îşi continuă studiile de doctorat la Institutul Central de Cercetări Științifice în domeniul Traumatologiei și Ortopediei al Ministerului Sănătății din URSS. În 1968 susţine teza de doctor în științe medicale la tema „Diformităţile postcombustionale ale mâinii şi degetelor şi tratamentul lor”. Ulterior, activează ca medic traumatolog la Spitalul Republican de Traumatologie şi Ortopedie din Chişinău, contribuind și la îmbunătățirea serviciilor medicale prestate populației.
În 1969 îşi începe activitatea didactică la Institutul de Stat de Medicină din Chişinău, consecutiv onorând funcţiile de asistent, conferențiar, profesor şi şef al Catedrei de ortopedie și traumatologie. În perioada 1984-1986 a fost conducător al practicii de producție în Institut, ulterior șef al Secției de doctorantură, aspirantură și ordinatură clinică.
Vitalie Bețișor a avut și un dar pedagogic de neegalat – prelegerile Domniei Sale deosebindu-se prin originalitate, logică, claritate și coerență în expunere, utilizând cele mai moderne şi eficiente mijloace tehnice. A îmbinat reuşit activitatea didactică şi organizatorică cu cea de medic şi de cercetător ştiinţific. În 1988 Vitalie Bețișor susţine teza de doctor habilitat în științe medicale, iar în 1989 devine Laureat al Premiului de Stat al RSSM în domeniul știinţei şi tehnicii. Doi ani mai târziu i se conferă titlul științifico-didactic de profesor universitar, iar în 1993 este ales membru corespondent al Academiei de Ştiințe a Moldovei.
Vitalie Bețișor a contribuit substanțial la elucidarea problemelor legate de traumatismele cranio-cerebrale grave asociate şi ale aparatului locomotor, tratamentul multiplelor fracturi ale membrelor şi consecinţele acestora. Preponderent, și-a consacrat timpul studierii profunde a politraumatismelor, contribuind la fondarea şi dezvoltarea microchirurgiei în Republica Moldova. În ultimii ani de viaţă a fost preocupat de problema artroplastiei și de endoprotezare, fiind autorul acestei tehnici chirurgicale.
A publicat peste 380 de lucrări ştiinţifice și didactice, inclusiv 3 monografii și 2 compendii. Majoritatea invenţiilor, realizate împreună cu colegii de la catedră, sunt implementate și astăzi, pe larg, în practica medicală.
Sub conducerea profesorului universitar Vitalie Beţişor au fost susţinute 108 teze de doctor în științe medicale şi o teză de doctor habilitat.
Pe lângă funcțiile deținute de-a lungul timpului, Vitalie Bețișor a fost și președinte al Asociației traumatologilor-ortopezi din Republica Moldova, președinte al Consiliului de experți al Ministerului Sănătății, vicepreședinte al Ligii medicilor din Moldova ș.a.
Profesorul universitar Vitalie Bețișor a fost un specialist de talie internaţională, eminent savant și om de o aleasă cumsecădenie. Pentru merite deosebite în domeniul educației, științei și practicii medicale a fost menționat cu mai multe distincții guvernamentale. În anul 1995 i s-a conferit titlul onorific de „Om Emerit”. Vitalie Bețișor a plecat în eternitate la 22 mai 2005.

Professor BEȚIȘOR is the author of 12 patents of invention and more than 100 innovations in orthopedics and traumatology. Author of the work „Lamboul lateral brahial în tratamentul traumatismelor aparatului locomotor” (The Lateral Brachial Flap in the Treatment of Traumas of the Locomotor System). He conducted scientific research on the consequences of burns of the hand, polytraumas of the locomotor system, stable functional osteosynthesis, and endoprosthetic replacement of large joints.
Vitalie Bețișor was born on July 24, 1937, in the village of Cuhnești, Glodeni district, into a family of intellectuals. In 1963, he graduated from the State Institute of Medicine in Chișinău, after which he completed his internship in Traumatology and Orthopedics. Subsequently, he was assigned to practice his profession at the Hospital for Invalids in Saharna, and shortly thereafter, at the one in Leova as a trauma surgeon.
Starting in 1965, he continued his doctoral studies at the Central Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the USSR Ministry of Health. In 1968, he defended his PhD thesis in medical sciences on the topic „Post-burn deformities of the hand and fingers and their treatment.” Afterward, he worked as a trauma physician at the Republican Hospital of Traumatology and Orthopedics in Chișinău, contributing to the improvement of medical services provided to the population.
In 1969, he began his teaching career at the State Institute of Medicine in Chișinău, successively holding the positions of assistant, associate professor, professor, and head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. Between 1984 and 1986, he was the head of practical training at the Institute, and later, head of the Doctoral, Postgraduate, and Clinical Residency Department.
Vitalie Bețișor also possessed an unparalleled pedagogical gift—his lectures were distinguished by originality, logic, clarity, and coherence in presentation, utilizing the most modern and efficient technical means. He successfully combined didactic and organizational activities with those of a physician and a scientific researcher. In 1988, Vitalie Bețișor defended his habilitation thesis in medical sciences, and in 1989, he became a Laureate of the State Prize of the MSSR in the field of science and technology. Two years later, he was awarded the scientific-didactic title of university professor, and in 1993, he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
Vitalie Bețișor contributed substantially to elucidating problems related to severe associated cranio-cerebral trauma and musculoskeletal trauma, the treatment of multiple limb fractures, and their consequences. Predominantly, he devoted his time to the in-depth study of polytrauma, contributing to the founding and development of microsurgery in the Republic of Moldova. In the last years of his life, he was preoccupied with the issue of arthroplasty and endoprosthetics, being the author of this surgical technique.
He published over 380 scientific and didactic works, including 3 monographs and 2 compendiums. Most of his inventions, created together with colleagues from the department, are still widely implemented in medical practice today.
Under the guidance of university professor Vitalie Bețișor, 108 PhD theses in medical sciences and one habilitation thesis were defended.
In addition to the positions held over time, Vitalie Bețișor was also president of the Association of Traumatologists-Orthopedists of the Republic of Moldova, president of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Health, vice-president of the League of Physicians of Moldova, and others.
University professor Vitalie Bețișor was an internationally renowned specialist, an eminent scholar, and a man of exceptional kindness. For outstanding merits in the field of education, science, and medical practice, he was recognized with several government distinctions. In 1995, he was awarded the honorary title of „Honored Man” (Om Emerit). Vitalie Bețișor passed into eternity on May 22, 2005.

Профессор БЕЦИШОР является автором 12 патентов на изобретения и более 100 инноваций в области ортопедии и травматологии. Автор работы «Lamboul lateral brahial în tratamentul traumatismelor aparatului locomotor» (Латеральный плечевой лоскут в лечении травм опорно-двигательного аппарата). Он занимался научными исследованиями последствий ожогов кисти, политравм опорно-двигательного аппарата, функционально стабильного остеосинтеза и эндопротезирования крупных суставов.
Виталие Бецишор родился 24 июля 1937 года в селе Кухнешты Глодянского района в семье интеллигентов. В 1963 году окончил Кишиневский государственный медицинский институт, после чего прошел интернатуру по специальности «травматология и ортопедия». Впоследствии был распределен на работу в больницу для инвалидов в Сахарне, а вскоре — в Леово в качестве хирурга-травматолога.
С 1965 года продолжил обучение в аспирантуре Центрального научно-исследовательского института травматологии и ортопедии Минздрава СССР. В 1968 году защитил кандидатскую диссертацию на тему «Посткомбустионные деформации кисти и пальцев и их лечение». Впоследствии работал врачом-травматологом в Республиканской больнице травматологии и ортопедии в Кишиневе, способствуя улучшению качества медицинского обслуживания населения.
В 1969 году начал преподавательскую деятельность в Кишиневском государственном медицинском институте, последовательно занимая должности ассистента, доцента, профессора и заведующего кафедрой ортопедии и травматологии. В 1984–1986 годах руководил производственной практикой в институте, а затем возглавлял отдел докторантуры, аспирантуры и клинической ординатуры.
Виталие Бецишор обладал выдающимся педагогическим талантом: его лекции отличались оригинальностью, логикой, ясностью и последовательностью изложения, с использованием самых современных и эффективных технических средств. Он успешно сочетал преподавательскую и организаторскую деятельность с работой врача и ученого. В 1988 году Виталие Бецишор защитил докторскую диссертацию (доктора хабилитат) в области медицинских наук, а в 1989 году стал лауреатом Государственной премии МССР в области науки и техники. Через два года ему было присвоено ученое звание профессора, а в 1993 году он был избран членом-корреспондентом Академии наук Молдовы.
Виталие Бецишор внес значительный вклад в решение проблем, связанных с тяжелыми сочетанными черепно-мозговыми травмами и травмами опорно-двигательного аппарата, лечением множественных переломов конечностей и их последствий. Преимущественно он посвятил себя углубленному изучению политравм, способствуя созданию и развитию микрохирургии в Республике Молдова. В последние годы жизни он занимался вопросами артропластики и эндопротезирования, являясь автором этой хирургической методики.
Он опубликовал более 380 научных и учебных работ, включая 3 монографии и 2 сборника. Большинство изобретений, созданных вместе с коллегами по кафедре, широко внедрены и сегодня применяются в медицинской практике.
Под руководством профессора Виталие Бецишора были защищены 108 кандидатских диссертаций (доктора медицины) и одна докторская диссертация (доктора хабилитат).
Помимо занимаемых должностей, Виталие Бецишор был президентом Ассоциации травматологов-ортопедов Республики Молдова, председателем Экспертного совета Министерства здравоохранения, вице-президентом Лиги врачей Молдовы и др.
Профессор Виталие Бецишор был специалистом международного уровня, выдающимся ученым и человеком исключительной порядочности. За особые заслуги в области образования, науки и медицинской практики он был отмечен многочисленными государственными наградами. В 1995 году ему было присвоено почетное звание «Om Emerit» (Заслуженный деятель). Виталие Бецишор ушел из жизни 22 мая 2005 года.
