A elaborat preparate antivirale, Hepatitoliz, Imunomax, pe care le-a brevetat şi implementat. Pentru prima dată a descoperit interferoni naturali care pot trata formaţiuni tumorale de tipul adenomului de prostată şi fibromului uterin şi infecţii virale, cum sunt: virusurile hepatice, HIV, HPV şi altele, considerate până acum incurabile.
Studii: a absolvit Facultatea de Biologie şi Chimie, Secţia biologie moleculară, la Universitatea de Stat din Tiraspol, în 1967. A obţinut titlul de doctor în biologie la Universitatea M. Lomonosov din Moscova, în anul 1971, cu teza Studii microscopice şi submicroscopice ale porilor şi plasmodesmelor celulelor parenchimatice suculente, şi titlul de doctor docent în virusologie, la Institutul de Virusologie D. Ivanovschi al Academiei de Ştiinţe Medicale din Moscova, în anul 1990, cu teza de doctorat Biologia Baculovirusurilor şi a virusurilor poliedrozei citoplasmatice. Activitatea profesională: activităţi de cercetare din 1968 şi profesor universitar din 1987. În domeniul cercetării a deţinut funcţiile de: colaborator ştiinţific superior al Institutului Unional de Cercetări Ştiinţifice pentru Protecţia Plantelor 1972-1984, şef al Laboratorului de Virusologie a Insectelor 1984-1992, apoi director ştiinţific la Institutul de Protecţie Biologică a Plantelor al Academiei de Ştiinţe din Republica Moldova, cercetător ştiinţific principal la Institutul de Cercetări pentru Protecţia Plantelor Bucureşti, director general al Insect Farm S.A. Activitatea didactică şi ştiinţifică: profesor universitar la Universitatea de Stat din Chişinău, din 1987, conducător ştiinţific de doctorat în domeniul virologie şi îndrumător a 3 doctoranzi. Din 1971 a început efectuarea cercetărilor ştiinţifice în domeniul virologiei, finalizate prin descrierea a 30 de tulpini noi de Baculovirusuri la diferite specii de Lepidoptere şi pentru prima dată a determinat localizarea ARN în matrixul suprapoliviriocapsizilor de proteine a virusurilor poliedrozei nucleare. A fost stabilit mecanismul de interferenţă în cazul infectării celulelor cu virusuri, care include acizi nucleici diferiţi. A elaborat un sistem nou pentru identificarea Baculovirusurilor, a elaborat un standard nou pentru determinarea calităţii insecticidelor virale. A elaborat 6 noi tehnologii de producere a insecticidelor virale pentru mai multe specii de insecte. Din 1992, a început cercetările extractelor din insecte pentru obţinerea preparatelor keratolitice, care au stat la baza a peste 24 de preparate parafarmaceutice. Începând cu anul 2000, a elaborat preparate antivirale, Hepatito-liz, Imunomax, pe care le-a brevetat şi implementat. Pentru prima dată a descoperit interferoni naturali care pot trata formaţiuni tumorale de tipul adenomului de prostată şi fibromului uterin şi infecţii virale, cum sunt: virusurile hepatice, HIV, HPV şi altele, considerate până acum incurabile. Cercetările efectuate sunt considerate premiere mondiale şi reprezintă descoperiri evidente. A contribuit la dezvoltarea cercetărilor în domeniul viruşilor şi crearea unor preparate originale pentru tratarea infecţiilor produse de viruşi. He developed antiviral preparations Hepatitoliz and Imunomax, which he patented and implemented. For the first time, he discovered natural interferons that can treat tumor formations such as prostate adenoma and uterine fibroma, as well as viral infections such as hepatic viruses, HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and HPV (Human Papillomavirus), which had previously been considered incurable.
