Deţinător a 70 de brevete de invenţie.
Gheorghe Cozub s-a născut la 30 august 1937 în satul Cuhureştii de Sus, azi raionul Floreşti. A absolvit Şcoala de Vinificaţie şi Viticultură din Chişinău (1956), Institutul Industriei Alimentare din or. Odesa, Ucraina (1961) şi doctorantura la aceeaşi instituţie (1970). A activat în calitate de inginer-tehnolog la fabrica de vinuri din s. Cazaclia, r-nul Ceadâr-Lunga (1961- 1963), şef adjunct al secţiei de producere a Direcţiei generale pentru viticultură şi vinifi caţie a Ministerului Industriei Alimentare a Moldovei (1963-1966), director al Fabricii experimentale de producere a vinului de tip Heres, director adjunct pentru probleme de ştiinţă al AP Ialoven (1973-1978), vicepreşedinte al Asociaţiei Moldvinprom (1978-1983), viceministru al viticulturii şi vinifi caţiei (1983-1986), conferenţiar la Universitatea Tehnică din Moldova (1986-1989). A fost preşedinte al Filialei Germane Giulting Korken în Moldova (1998- 2001); director general al Fabricii de Vinuri S.A. Imperial Vin din r-nul Cantemir (din 2001); preşedinte al Uniunii Producătorilor şi Exportatorilor de Vinuri din Moldova (din 2004). În 1989 a susţinut teza de doctor habilitat în ştiinţe tehnice. Cercetările sale ştiinţifi ce ţin de domeniul tehnologiei şi utilajului pentru industria vinului. Este fondator al tehnologiei complexe de producere a vinului de tip Heres, implementată în Moldova, Ucraina, Rusia şi Bulgaria, autor al tehnologiei de producere a 50 de vinuri şi coniacuri, inclusiv vinurile Heres (sec, tare şi desert), Nobil, Dionis, Struguraş, Sănătate, coniacul Belîi aist, coautor al coniacului Ambasador ş.a. Este autorul Legii viei şi vinului, adoptată de Parlamentul Republicii Moldova în 1994. A coordonat elaborarea Concepţiei dezvoltării complexului viti-vinicol al Republicii Moldova până în anul 2020. A publicat peste 200 de lucrări ştiinţifi ce, inclusiv 12 monografi i. A fost preşedinte al Consiliului ştiinţifi c specializat pe lângă Institutul Naţional al Viei şi Vinului pentru conferirea gradelor ştiinţifi ce de doctor şi doctor habilitat la specialitatea Tehnologia produselor alimentare, alcoolice şi nealcoolice (2000-2005). A participat la numeroase conferinţe, simpozioane şi expoziţii republicane şi internaţionale organizate în Moldova, Ucraina, Rusia, România, Franţa, Italia, SUA, Germania, Mexic, Portugalia, Bulgaria, Polonia. Începând cu anul 1995, Gheorghe Cozub a adus o contribuţie esenţială la organizarea a 18 ediţii a expoziţiei internaţionale ExpoVin Moldova, a concursurilor internaţionale de vinuri şi distilate Wines & Spiritus Contest Winners, a Conferinţei internaţionale In wine. Savantul Gheorghe Cozub a fost apreciat cu cele mai înalte titluri onorifi ce şi distincţii de stat: inginer emerit al Republicii Moldova, vinificator emerit al Franţei, dublu laureat al Premiului de Stat al Republicii Moldova, ordinele «Insigna de Onoare», Drapelul Roşu de Muncă, Gloria Muncii, Ordinul Republicii.

Gheorghe Cozub was born on August 30, 1937, in the village of Cuhureștii de Sus, today in the Florești district. He graduated from the School of Winemaking and Viticulture in Chișinău (1956), the Institute of Food Industry in Odesa, Ukraine (1961), and completed his doctoral studies at the same institution (1970).
He worked as an engineer-technologist at the winery in the village of Cazaclia, Ceadâr-Lunga district (1961-1963), deputy head of the production department of the General Directorate for Viticulture and Winemaking of the Ministry of Food Industry of Moldova (1963-1966), director of the Experimental Winery for the production of Sherry-type wine, deputy director for science of AP Ialoven (1973-1978), vice-president of the Moldvinprom Association (1978-1983), deputy minister of viticulture and winemaking (1983-1986), and associate professor at the Technical University of Moldova (1986-1989). He was the president of the Moldovan Branch of the German company Giulting Korken (1998-2001); general director of the „Imperial Vin” J.S.C. Winery in the Cantemir district (from 2001); and president of the Union of Wine Producers and Exporters of Moldova (from 2004).
In 1989, he defended his thesis as a habilitated doctor in technical sciences. His scientific research is related to the field of technology and equipment for the wine industry. He is the founder of the complex technology for the production of Sherry-type wine, implemented in Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, and Bulgaria; the author of the production technology for 50 wines and cognacs, including Sherry wines (dry, strong, and dessert), Nobil, Dionis, Struguraș, Sănătate, and the Belîi Aist (White Stork) cognac; and co-author of the Ambasador cognac, among others. He is the author of the Law on Vine and Wine, adopted by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in 1994. He coordinated the elaboration of the Concept for the development of the vitivinicultural complex of the Republic of Moldova up to the year 2020. He has published over 200 scientific works, including 12 monographs.
He served as the president of the specialized scientific Council under the National Institute of Vine and Wine for conferring the scientific degrees of doctor and habilitated doctor in the specialty of Technology of food, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic products (2000-2005). He participated in numerous republican and international conferences, symposiums, and exhibitions organized in Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, France, Italy, the USA, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, Bulgaria, and Poland.
Starting in 1995, Gheorghe Cozub made an essential contribution to the organization of 18 editions of the international exhibition ExpoVin Moldova, the Wines & Spirits Contest international competitions for wines and distillates, and the In Wine international conference.
The scientist Gheorghe Cozub was recognized with the highest honorary titles and state distinctions: Emeritus Engineer of the Republic of Moldova, Emeritus Winemaker of France, double laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Moldova, the „Badge of Honor” Order, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of Labor Glory, and the Order of the Republic.
